Quality Commercial Vehicle & Trailer Sales & Repairs

Power Engineering Ltd carries out various accident and damage repairs to trucks and trailers. We also carry out modifications to trucks and trailers for the leading supermarket chains. Customers include Tesco, Bookers, Culina, DFDS and others.

Modifications carried out are conversion to electric hook up boxes, buffer mods, colas box mods, landing leg mods, bulkhead and floor mods. All the modification packages are designed, manufactured and fitted in house by our team of experienced staff.

Other sales and modifications were converting fridge trailers to box trailers suitable for the UK driver training market and for a local haulage customer.

We also have many years’ experience in the truck and trailer export sales industry, and offer a highly professional full service including shipping, transport and documentation at very competitive prices. With over 21 years experience in the used truck / trailer industry in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda,Tanzania and Zambia and stacks of trailers to those listed above along with Dubai and Egypt.

The projects undertaken over the years have also been modifications to vehicles converting RH to LH drive. Also due to lack of stock in Africa we have sold and converted over 450 Mercedes Axor 1840 4×2’s to a 6×2 lift axle and Mercedes Actros from 4×2 to 6×2 lift axle, raising the suspension, which were more suitable for African roads than a standard 4×2 vehicle. Also added was a 6mm steel plate radiator guard and a heavy duty front bumper bar installed which were all by Colin. These vehicles also had the engines de-rated from Euro 5 as customers did not want to put in Adblue in, this was also carried using genuine Mercedes Engine parts and kits. The vehicle carried the Power Engineering name which was cut out on the Mudguards and heavy duty bumper bar and all vehicles were cleaned and thoroughly checked before export. Other services we provide are delivery to Uk docks upon request, all shipping arrangements and paperwork to the relevant ports, various inspections and customers banks relating to LC’s and liaised with shipping agents etc.
